Together, we’ll explore what sustainability really means in early years practice and begin weaving it into everyday life.
This isn’t about getting everything “perfect.” It’s about noticing, reflecting, and beginning.

Module 1

DECARBONISATION

This module will get you exploring how everyday habits within your setting can either help or harm the planet - and how small, thoughtful changes can reduce your environmental impact. From saving energy to reducing waste, your team will begin to look closely at the choices you make and how they ripple out into the word.

Module 2

PREPARING FOR CLIMATE RISK

This module explores how your setting can prepare for extreme heat, storms, heavy rainfall, or even poor air quality, while still offering care, curiosity and comfort to children.
From puddle suits to play policies, your learn how to embed resilience in your environment, routines and team culture.

Module 3

BIODIVERSITY

In this module we'll explore how your setting can nature deep, lasting connections between children and the natural world.

Module 4

CLIMATE EDUCATION &
GREEN THINKING

This module is all about how we talk about the planet with children. It's not about scary statistics, it's about nurturing care, curiosity, and action in a way that feels empowering.

Together, you will explore how to make sustainability party of your every day practice / curriculum, from stories and songs to rituals and roles.

Module 5

STAFF AND COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

You don't have to do this alone. This module is about connection, with each other, with families and with your wider community.

Module 6

YOUR CLIMATE CHANGE
ACTION PLAN

This is the moment to pause, to look back and to celebrate what's grown. In this final core module, your team will reflect on everything you've learnt, discovered, noticed and changed so far. You will finalise your climate change action plan, prepare your impact assessments and get ready to share your story.

Reflection isn't the end, it's what makes the learning real...
